Department of Poli Sci - Career Talk #1 -UNITED NATIONS

Please join the Department of Political Science on a new Career Talk Series with professionals in policy and international relations.

Our first guest will talk about his experiences and knowledge of the UNITED NATIONS.

"Please join us in welcoming Gulmamad Nazarov who has a BA in State and Municipal Administration and a JD. He joined the United Nations organization in 1998 as a local staff of the UN Mission of Observers in Tajikistan (UNMOT) where he also briefly served the UN Special Mission in Afghanistan (UNSMA). In 2001 he was assigned to the Air Operations and Movement Control office of the UN Mission in Eritrea and Ethiopia (UNMEE) thus becoming one of the youngest members of the UN international staff at the age of 21. Gulmamad also worked in administrative capacity assisting and managing communications, logistics and support operations of the UN Mission in East Timor (UNMIT), UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) and when the country split, the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). He took time off to pursue a business career and is currently pending his next UN assignment."

This career talk event will have limited space and is on a first come first serve enrollment. This Invitation is limited to Undergraduate Junior/Senior and UNMA and PhD students. This event will have a moderator from the Poli Sci Department and is asking participants to ask questions to the guest by writing them out before the event to focus on our limited time. Please be sure to ask questions in response to this invitation. You may go back to your invitation and update as needed.
